C. Frederick Wehba and his wife Susan had their long history of philanthropic and humanitarian efforts recognized by California Baptist University with the school’s “Spirit of Philanthropy” award.

The fundraising event benefited the CBU Scholarship Fund and featured a silent auction, lavish dinner, and entertainment by the legendary Frankie Avalon.  The gala was held in the courtyard of the Eugene and Billie Yeager Center and raised nearly $181,000 for institutional scholarships.

The presentation of the award noted that C. Frederick Wehba and his wife have a broad understanding of philanthropy in the non-profit community.  Mr. Wehba is chairman of BentleyForbes, one of the nation’s fastest growing commercial real estate investment firms. He also was the past chair of the business affairs committee on the California Baptist University Board of Trustees.

California Baptist University is affiliated with the California Southern Baptist Convention and is fully accredited.  Their 128-acre campus reflects the Southern California environment, with towering palm trees, mission-style buildings, and a spectacular view of the nearby San Bernardino Mountains.
